Air Italy

Flights to Italy and worldwide destinations. Air Italy is an Italian airline based in Olbia Costa Smeralda and main operating base in Milan Malpensa.

The Company was founded with the name of Alisarda in March 1963 with the aim of promoting tourism in Sardinia. In 1991 the name was changed to Meridiana.

Thanks to the merger with the carrier Eurofly and the acquisition of the Air Italy Company, Meridiana in recent years has consolidated a significant presence in the international leisure segment by continuing to expand towards medium and long-haul holiday destinations and collaborating with all the major tour operators in the market national.
In March 2018 the Company began its activity with the new Air Italy brand.

In May 2018 Air Italy began operating new national connections from its new Milan Malpensa hub for Rome, Naples, Palermo, Catania, Lamezia Terme and Cagliari (from 31 March 2019) scheduled to allow optimal connections with new intercontinental scheduled flights such as New York and Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco (both from April 2019) and Toronto (from May 2019).

The Air Italy network also includes international direct flights from Milan Malpensa to Accra, Cairo, Dakar, Lagos and Sharm El-Sheikh. From the Olbia Costa Smeralda base, Air Italy serves Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa and Bologna all year round and offers seasonal connections with a large number of national and regional airports.
The Air Italy fleet is currently composed of three Boeing 737 MAXs, seven Boeing 737 NGs, five Airbus A330-200s.
