What are the differences between standard tents and upgraded tents?
There is no physical difference in the tents, the differences is in the physical location of the Mena camp with respect to Jamarat. However the Premium packages have the privilege of having a private bus at their disposal for transferring between Mena camp and Makkah where your hotel is located. In addition their meals are served in open buffet style at the Mena camp. The Standard packages use the Government provided buses and also have boxed meals served at the Mena camp.
Is there access to the hotels during Manasek in all packages? Are buses available to travel to the hotels?
Yes all packages, whether standard or premium have access to their hotels during the days of Mansasek (10-12Zul Hajjah).
Private buses are available for transfer between Mena camp and the hotels for all premium packages.
For standard packages we offer one transfer between Mena and Makkah if you would like to do Tawaf AlIfadah during Eid days. Alternatively, you can do Tawaf Alfadah after the end of the Mena days (10-12ZH). Bus availability is subject to traffic and road closures. This is a complimentary service and pilgrims in severe conditions may be forced to take a taxi to hotel.
We will be departing from Seattle. Which gateway city/airport will need to travel?
All packages are priced based on travel from JFK (New York Gateway). You can leave from any gateway (major airport in your State) however you are likely going to be charged an additional fee for this service. It is best to contact your nearest Adam Travel Agency, we have over thirty branches in the US, to get an estimate for your Add On Fare.
We are a family of four (2 men / 2 women). Will we get a single room in hotels? Are the tents separated by men and women?
If you purchase a quad occupancy (4 people in a room) the two males will be in one room and the two females will be in a different room. In both cases, we will assign additional Hajj companions of the same gender to complete the count in each room to 4.
If you decide to purchase double occupancy (2 people in a room) then each couple (husband and wife) will be assigned a room.
In reference to the Mena and Arafat camps – those are strictly All Male and All Female tents.
Can we choose the departure date (11 Aug or 12 Aug) ?
No you cannot select the departure date, when we say travel date 11 Aug or 12 Aug it means that at the time we designed the package we anticipate our flight will leave on 11Aug or 12Aug. Adam Travel in collaboration with the many airlines we use to assign a flight to each package. The reason we share the dates with you is for you to be able to arrange vacation days from your employer. The airlines do not get a 100% finalized schedule until after Ramadan (June 15th).
What are the main differences between standard and premium packages ?
The main difference between the Standard and the Premium Packages is that the Standard Packages during the days of Hajj (8-12 Zul Hajjah) they reside at the North America Mena camp which is about a 45-minute walk (one way) to Jamarat. The Premium packages during the days of Hajj (8-12ZH) are staying at the upgraded location which is only 15 minutes away from Jamarat.
