Shaykh Didmar Faja is currently the imām of the United Islamic Center of Arizona (UICA) in Glendale, Arizona. He is the founder and director of the Greenway Academy, an Islamic school co-located with UICA, and founder and director of two Islamic centers in Mexico, La Comunidad Musalmana de Sonora (in the State of Sonora) and La Comunidad Musulmana de Durango (in the State of Durango). He is a religious and spiritual advisor for Naqshbandiyya Foundation for Islamic Education (NFIE) where he delivers a monthly address on topics relating to Islamic spirituality and an instructor at Madina Institute USA in Atlanta, GA where he teaches Al-Arba’­īn of Imam Al-Nawawi and usūl al-fiqh (principles of Islamic jurisprudence) according to the Hanafī school of thought.

Shaykh Didmar is frequently invited to lecture at events and conferences held in the United States and abroad and he is an active participant in, and organizer of, multi-faith activities in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The focus of his work is teaching traditional Islam in accordance with the four schools of ahl al-sunnah wa jama’ah, with emphasis on the Hanafī school. He particularly enjoys training students in the art of Qur’anic recitation and is the founder of Arizona’s annual Qur’an Competition.

Shaykh Didmar completed his primary Islamic education in the city of his birth, Shkodër, Albania, while attending the Haxhi Sheh Shamia. He completed his secondary education in Istanbul, Turkey where also earned authorization to be an imām and khaṭīb. He completed his post-secondary education in the United States, earning a Bachelor’s in Islamic Studies. His studies have focused on ma’qūl wa manqūl (Islamic speculative and traditional knowledge). He received ijāzāt in fatwā and other Islamic disciplines from the Mufti and the Imam of Abū Hanīfa Mosque of Baghdad, Shaykh Watheq Alobaidi. Throughout his life, he has been blessed to study under well-qualified and righteous scholars of various backgrounds, including Albanians, Kurds, Turks and Arabs.

He is the author of Shprehi Dhuntitë e Zotit Tënd! (Express the Gifts of You Your Lord!) (2012), an edited anthology of Albanian-language sermons delivered on various Islamic topics, and Shpjegimi i Dyzet e Dy Thënieve Profetike (Commentary on the Forty-Two Prophetic Statements) (2014), an Albanian-language translation and commentary of Al-Arba’­īn of Imam Al-Nawawi. He has published articles on various Islamic topics in several magazines and newspapers in the United States and Albania (in both English and Albanian).

Shaykh Didmar previously served as the imām of the Albanian American Islamic Center of Arizona – Greenway Masjid (2004 – 2014) and taught Qur’an and Islamic Studies at the Arizona Cultural Academy (2002 – 2009), a full-time Islamic school in Phoenix, Arizona. He is a member of the Arizona Police Reports. He is fluent in Albanian, English, Arabic and Turkish.

Imam Saad Eldegwy

Imam Saad Eldegwy holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from GTF, South Bend, Indiana. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies from Dar
El-Oloum Faculty in Cairo, Egypt. He has memorized the “Holy Quran” and has taught Quran and Islamic studies at Al-Azhar Institute and Sheikh Alhusari Center in Cairo. He has worked as a full time Imam at the Islamic Center of San Diego, Alribat Islamic Center and Alrahma Islamic Center. He has also worked as adjunct professor at National university.
Currently, Dr. Saad works as Imam and motivational speaker for Islamic Relief USA, Imam at Muslim Community Center of San Diego, Adjunct professor at San Diego State University and Academic director of IQRAA academy of San Diego.

Imam Ossama Bahloul

Imam Ossama Bahloul, Ph.D., the Resident Scholar of the Islamic Center of Nashville, Imam Ossama is a graduate of the renowned Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he earned his BA in Islamic Studies, as well as his Master’s degree and ultimately his Ph.D. Dr. Bahloul completed his Ph.D. in Comparative Religions. His thesis titled Critique of Christian Issues within Will Durant’s “The Story of Civilization” is widely acclaimed.

Dr. Bahloul’s passion in comparative religions has fueled over 18 years of experience in interfaith dialogue and numerous public corroborations with both Muslim organizations and religious leaders from other faiths. As an academic, he has worked on peer-reviewed research and has traveled extensively, lecturing at the university level about critical interfaith issues facing Muslims.

As an Imam, Dr. Ossama has gained knowledge, experience, and insight in guiding community members to achieve their Islamic educational and spiritual goals. Dr. Bahloul’s unwavering commitment, enthusiasm and perseverance for the educational and spiritual growth and wellbeing of his community have culminated in his induction into the Fiqh Council of North America.

Prior to his tenure at the Islamic Center of Nashville, Dr. Bahloul was the Imam at the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro where he led and supported the community through severe islamophobic attacks while building the only mosque in Murfreesboro, all of which was covered extensively by local and national media.

Dr Tarek Chebbi

Dr. Tarek Chebbi, was the Imam of Masjid Al-Ihsaan in Miami for over 12 years. An Educational Researcher and a University Professor for over 15 years. Studied in Tunisia, France, and the USA and is fluent in 5 languages.
In addition to Masjid Al-Ihsaan, Dr. Chebbi delivers Khutab (Friday’s Jumua) at several South Florida Masajids and gives Islamic lectures at these and other South Florida Masajids as well.
Imam Chebbi was a board member of the Islamic School Of Miami for over 20 years. He taught Islamic Studies (Quran, Arabic, etc…) to children for many years. He is currently the principal of the Sunday Islamic School of Miami.  He was also a board member of the United Muslim Organization in Miami.

Dr. Chebbi led hajj groups with AdamTravel for several years and constantly receives very positive feedback.  He wrote a step-by-step pamphlet on how to perform Manaasek AlHajj according to the Quran and the Sunnah that he used while leading hajj groups for the past 10 years.

Imam Majed Mahmoud

Imam Majed completed a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor and a Master’s in Business Administration from Wayne State University. During this period, he finished his memorization of the Quran. In his pursuit for Islamic studies, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from AlMaghrib Institute. Majed has traveled around the world lecturing about different aspects of Islam and completed a TV series with channels such as Huda TV & Peace TV. He works as a mechanical engineer and teaches at AlMaghrib Institute. He is currently in his senior year completing a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Jurisprudence & Legal Theory from Al-Madinah International University. Majed lives in North America with his wife and three children.
