Imam Ossama Bahloul, Ph.D., the Resident Scholar of the Islamic Center of Nashville, comes to Nashville with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Imam Ossama is a graduate of the renowned Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he earned his BA in Islamic Studies, as well as his Master’s degree and ultimately his Ph.D. Dr. Bahloul completed his Ph.D. in Comparative Religions. His thesis titled Critique of Christian Issues within Will Durant’s “The Story of Civilization” is widely acclaimed.
Dr. Bahloul’s passion in comparative religions has fueled over 16 years of experience in interfaith dialogue and numerous public corroborations with both Muslim organizations and religious leaders from other faiths. As an academic, he has worked on peer-reviewed research and has traveled extensively, lecturing at the university level about critical interfaith issues facing Muslims.
As an Imam, Dr. Ossama has gained knowledge, experience, and insight in guiding community members to achieve their Islamic educational and spiritual goals. Dr. Bahloul’s unwavering commitment, enthusiasm and perseverance for the educational and spiritual growth and wellbeing of his community have culminated in his induction into the Fiqh Council of North America.
Dr. Tarek Chebbi
- About Tarek Chebbi
Dr. Tarek Chebbi was the Imam of Masjid Al-Ihsaan in Miami for over 13 years. An Educational Researcher and a University Professor for over 23 years. Studied in Tunisia, France, and the USA. Dr. Chebbi is fluent in 5 languages (Arabic, English, French, Spanish, and Italian).
In addition to Masjid Al-Ihsaan, Dr. Chebbi delivers Khutab (Friday’s Jumua) at several South Florida Masajids (such as: Islamic Foundation of South Florida, Masjid-Downtown Miami, Masjid Annour, Masjid Miami-Gardens, Flagler Masjid) and gives Islamic lectures at these and other South Florida Masajids as well. Imam Chebbi was a board member of the Islamic School Of Miami for over 21 years. He taught Islamic Studies (Quran, Arabic, etc…) to children for many years. He is currently the principal of the Sunday Islamic School of Miami. He was also a board member of the United Muslim Organization in Miami.
Dr. Chebbi has been leading HAJJ and UMRAH groups with Adam Travel for several years and constantly receives very positive feedback. He wrote a step-by-step pamphlet (Arabic and English) on “How to Perform Hajj & Umrah – According to the Quran and Sunnah” that he used while leading Hajj and Umrah groups for over 13 years.
Dr.Saad Eldegwy

Dr.Saad Eldegwy
Dr. Saad Eldegwy holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from Graduate Theological Foundation, South Bend, Indiana. He also graduated with an MA degree in Counseling from San Diego State University and a BA degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies from Dar El-Oloum Faculty in Cairo, Egypt.
Dr. Saad is also a certified haafith of the Holy Quran. He has taught Quran and Islamic studies at Al-Azhar Al-Shareef Institute and Sheikh Alhusari Center in Cairo, as well as the various mosques in San Diego where he has worked. He has worked as a full time imam at the Islamic Center of San Diego, Al-Rribat Islamic Center, and Masjid Alrahma. In addition to his duties as an imam, he also provided counseling and taught Fiqh, Tafseer, Hadith, Aqeedah, Seerah, Quran, Tajweed, and Arabic. Imam Saad also founded and taught in the Quranic and Arabic Studies Academy (QASA) of San Diego, the precursor to IQraa Academy of San Diego, which he cofounded in 2010.
Dr. Saad has also worked as adjunct professor of Arabic Language and Middle Eastern History at San Diego State University and National University.
Dr. Saad is a member of the North American Imams Federation (NAIF), Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA), the Muslim Leadership Council of San Diego, and the Interfaith Coalition of East County, San Diego area. In addition, he is a motivational speaker for Islamic Relief USA, and he is also a certified fundraising manager.
Currently, Dr. Saad works as the Imam and Director of the Islamic Center of San Diego-East County. He also continues to act as Director of IQraa Academy of San Diego, where he teaches Arabic, Quran, Fiqh and Tafseer in addition to his director duties.

Br. Mohamed Youssef
has been part of Adam Travel family since 2002 leading Hajj and Umrah groups for the last 17 years. He is very passionate about providing world class customer service to our brothers and sisters during Hajj and Umrah journey. Br. Mohamed Youssef is a frequent Friday Khutbah speaker at Phoenix metropolitan Masjids as well as interfaith activities. Br. Mohamed Youssef is a license Engineer and has a Master Degree in Transportation Engineering. He is currently working as Public Works Deputy Director in Arizona, USA.
KHALID SHAHU

Dr. Khalid Shahu
is a Teaching Assistant Professor of Arabic Linguistics, at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He earned his Master’s degree from University Mohamed V, in Rabat Morocco and his P.H.D in Sociology of Language from the Graduate School of the City University of New York (CUNY) . Dr. Shahu is also the Founder and Imam of Apex Mosque, NC. He had led many groups during Hajj & Umrah times for the past ten years and he continuous to do so.
YASIR FAHMY

Shaykh Yasir
began the study of Arabic and Islamic Sciences in his high school years under the guidance of local teachers. At the age of seventeen, he traveled to Amman, where he spent a year studying at the Islamic University of Jordan. He returned to the US and completed a Bachelor’s of Science from Rutgers University. After working in corporate America for three years in finance, he returned to the Middle East and enrolled in the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Cairo.
After seven years of intensive study, Shaykh Yasir received a degree in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar and attained numerous ‘ijazas (independent certifications) in the subjects of fiqh, hadith, aqida, usul al-fiqh, sirah, tazkiyyah, mantiq, Arabic grammar (nahu), morphology (sarf) and rhetoric (balagha). In 2013, Shaykh Yasir Fahmy became the first American Azhari to teach in the renowned Al-Azhar Mosque.
Through his teaching, lecturing, mentorship, and religious leadership, Shaykh Yasir aims to foster love for the deen and appreciation of the vast richness of Islamic tradition in new generations of American Muslims.
Rizwan Ali

Rizwan Ali
is currently the Imam and Religious Director of the Islamic Center of Naperville. He was born and raised in Glen Ellyn, IL. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Benedictine University in Social Sciences and a minor in Secondary Education. He completed his master’s degree from Saint Xavier University in Curriculum and Instruction. He recently complete his doctorate in Educational Leadership at Creighton University. His dissertation focused on the experiences of Islamic school graduates in the Chicagoland area.
He has completed a degree in Shariah from Al Azhar University in Cairo. He is also the Director of Islamic Studies at the College Preparatory School of America (CPSA) in Lombard. He is also a committee member of the ISNA Educational Forum. He also serves as a Chaplain with the Naperville Police Department. He is married and has three daughters
